Biography

Competition experience and steady fundamentals for every student.

Sensei Ernesto Viera Sifonte is an experienced judo competitor known for steady fundamentals and composed, technical training. His coaching emphasizes doing the simple things extremely well: grips that lead somewhere, footwork that keeps balance, and attacks that connect to follow-ups.

In his classes, students learn to recognize high-percentage situations—when to commit to a throw, when to transition, and how to stay safe during scrambles. He encourages a calm training pace where technique stays clean even as intensity builds.

Sensei Ernesto is especially good at helping students turn “almost works” into “works every time” by focusing on timing and details. Beginners gain confidence through clear progressions; experienced students sharpen combinations and pressure-tested habits.

At Kodokan Cape Coral, he supports a culture of respect, hard work, and steady improvement—on the mat and off.
